Lyrics
There's a light shining pretty in the darkest night,
And a fire that burns beneath the sea,
One day again we'll see children building castles in the sand,
And soon you'll be coming home to me.
It's not too late even though everythng is lost,
Don't count on fate when you're counting the cost,
And the despair that encicles you today,
And the tears a price too much to pay,
All that's left is the spirit that can never be washed away.
It's not too late in your bleakest hour,
Tell me tell me am I dreamin',
We've got the faith we've got the power,
Tell me tell me am I dreamin',
When all your love and your hope is gone,
Tell me tell me am I dreamin',
I will lift you up in your darkest dawn,
Tell me tell me am I dreamin'.
Well I can't tell you where we go from here,
And I can't tell you just what this all means,
To lose everything with just a wave good bye,
Who would ever wonder how it feels.
It's not too late will we ever lose this pain,
Unlock the gate of our fears and live again,
Will you let it take your soul just like a thief,
Can we mend the shattered broken dreams,
There'll be an answer in the end on what has gone beyond belief.
I know you're afraid and I know you're all alone,
You've got no place that you can call home,
Everywhere you look and everywhere you go,
There's nothing left to love and nothing to show.
There's nothing that you have and nothing makes sense,
Just take my hand, take it,
It might make a difference,
Tell me tell me tell me tell me tell me tell me tell me,
Tell me tell me am I dreamin.
It's not too late even though everythng is lost,
Don't count on fate when you're counting the cost,
And the despair that encicles you today,
And the tears a price too much to pay,
All that's left is the spirit that can never be washed away.
It's not too late in your bleakest hour,
Tell me tell me am I dreamin',
We've got the faith we've got the power,
Tell me tell me am I dreamin',
When all your love and your hope is gone,
Tell me tell me am I dreamin',
I'm gonna lift you up in your darkest dawn,
Tell me tell me am I dreamin'.
Won't you tell me,
Won't you tell me,
Am I dreamin.
Won't you tell me tell me tell me tell me,
Am I dreamin'.

Lyrics
You come to me in sorrow and you come to me in debt,
You call me when you?re down and out and get what you can get,
Then reenergized and compromised you?re on your merry way,
Till fate will smack you in the face,
But you?ll always know what to say.
It?s not a question of if,
It?s a question of when,
It?s a matter of time till I will matter again,
I?m a temporary fix to your permanent woes,
The end of your tunnel?s lit,
But you never choose to go.
You know all of my buttons when it comes to push and shove,
You play it like a symphony,
It sounds just like my love,
Then it all goes silent when everything is fine,
And you?ll disappear for awhile,
But it?s only a matter of time.
You call me when you?re crying,
You come to me in pain,
You weasel your way back in the door again,
An award winning performance until you change your mind,
No you?ll never change at all,
And it?s only a matter of time.
It?s not a question of if,
It?s a question of when,
It?s a matter of time till I will matter again,
I?m a temporary fix to your permanent woes,
The end of your tunnel?s lit,
But you never choose to go.
It?s just a matter of time,
It?s only a matter of time,
It?s just just just just just just just just just is a matter of time.

Lyrics
You look inside your crowded world and you realize that you?re still all alone,
You?re never gonna settle but it?s all you?ve ever been shown,
Your wild child days have grown away as you look inside yourself,
It doesn?t have to be this way but where is everything else,
And I never know what to say but,
Mandy I don?t wanna see you cry,
There?s a light in your spirit with a mist in your eyes,
And every time you go away a little bit more of me dies,
Awww Mandy I don?t wanna see you cry.
You always ask for more,
Just like sunshine in the rain,
And everything that you?re looking for,
Is bringing you this pain,
Remember when you let me in, But you never shut the door,
And on the desert island where we play, there?s just one thing that?s for sure,
Well we?ll always be castaways baby yeah...
And on the desert island where we play, there?s just one thing that?s for sure,
Well we?ll always be castaways baby and,
Mandy I don?t wanna see you cry,
There?s a light in your spirit with a mist in your eyes,
And every time you go away a little bit more of me dies,
Awww Mandy I don?t wanna see you cry.
Every time you go away a little bit more of me dies,
Mandy I don?t wanna see you cry Mandy,
Mandy I don?t wanna see you cry anymore.

Lyrics
My emotions have been on a roller coaster ride,
up and down the tracks we go,
I'm hoarse from yelling and my stomach is gone,
and it seems to keep goin' on and on and on and on and on and on,
My emotions have been on a roller coaster ride, round and up and down the curves we glide,
Always shifting gears,
Whenever they appear and it's hard to keep one little thing inside.
On a roller coaster ride,
On a roller coaster ride,
On a roller coaster ride,
Ride with me tonight on a roller coaster ride.
My emotions have been on a roller coaster ride,
up and down the tracks we go,
When it seems like the end,
It has only just begun and keeps on comin' more and more and more and more and more and more...
My emotions have been on a roller coaster ride,
Up and down in what seems like flight,
My belt is buckled,
And I'm ready for a fight,
And I'll buy another ticket for another ride tonight.
My emotions have been on a roller coaster ride,
up and down the tracks we go,
I'm hoarse from yelling and my stomach is gone,
and it seems to keep goin' on and on and on and on and on and on,
Ride with me on a roller coaster ride with me on a roller coaster ride with me on a roller coaster ride.
Ride with me tonight,
Ride with me tonight,
Ride with me tonight,
Ride with me tonight,
Come on baby take a little ride with me.
Ride with me tonight,
Ride with me tonight,
Ride with me tonight,
Ride with me tonight.
Ride with me tonight,
Ride with me tonight,
Ride with me tonight on a roller coaster ride.

Lyrics
She was raised in a small town in the Bible Belt,
And all the love they promised from the pulpit was not what she felt,
She'd lay in bed at night staring down at the floor.
When will she be old enough to put a lock on the door.
And all she wants is a man to love her,
All she wants is to have what all the other girls have,
But daddy's girls come from other worlds,
All the places she's never been,
All she wants is just a chance to start all over again.
A week before she turned fourteen she walked away from home,
She tried but she couldn't run,
What's done was done and she was on her own,
Oh the times were lean and the streets were mean,
For a roof and a bed it's gonna cost you instead,
But she couldn't go back and when she couldn't go on,
She'd close her eyes and drift away.
And all she wants is a man to love her,
All she wants is to have what all the other girls have,
But daddy's girls come from other worlds,
All the places she's never been,
All she wants is just a chance to start all over again.
She looks in the window at the shoes and the clothes,
Her reflection has become a game of dominos,
The first and the last they're almost the same,
And you never win the game.
I heard you cryin' in your sleep,
I know you know we're in way too deep,
What's it gonna take for you to realize,
Face to face look at me,
Can't you see the love behind these eyes.
And all she wants is a man to love her,
All she wants is to have what all the other girls have,
But daddy's girls come from other worlds,
All the places she's never been,
All she wants is just a chance to start all over again.
She lies in bed staring down at the floor,
When will she unlock the door,
All she wants,
All she wants.

HURRICANE GUSTAV, HANNA, IKE and all the others out there including the tragedy taking place in Haiti in the aftermath of Hanna...I wrote the song "Am I Dreamin'" on January 1, 2005 after witnessing the horrific images on tv of the Asian Tsunami. This song took on new meaning for me about 9 months later when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. This past weekend we watched a potential disaster happening again with Gustav. Please keep the victims and potential victims in your thoughts and prayers. Listen to the words of "Am I Dreamin'"...It's a song of hope when it seems all hope is lost...
Thanks to everyone who helped me make the "Like Dandelion Dust" finals! Good luck to the rest of the finalists...I am in the company of great talent!!
